Kansas State hosted four official visitors for their contest over the weekend versus Texas Tech. Two were older targets who have or had at one point committed to Arkansas in Texas-based wide receiver Keymian Henderson and Lone Star State cornerback Victor Lincoln.

One was a newer target over the last month in three-star wide receiver Khamill Pruitt.

The final K-State official visit over the weekend was an older target in Sweden defensive tackle Adrian Bekibele. The official visit was a long time coming for Kansas State and Bekibele as he has been a major target since June.

It was Bekibele’s second time in Manhattan, with the first coming for a camp in June where he was offered by the Wildcats. Despite the K-State loss, he still had a positive experience back in The Little Apple.

“The visit was great,” Bekibele said. “My favorite part was for sure the game day atmosphere.”

Shortly after his official visit, the defensive tackle made his announcement to give his verbal pledge to Kansas State.

“K-State felt like home right away,” he shared. “The coaches and I feel I can make a difference right away.”

Being around the Wildcats’ defensive tackles coach Mike Tuiasosopo all weekend on the official visit played a major factor in his decision.

“Being around Tuiasosopo was great,” Bekibele noted. “I’m really looking forward having him as my coach.”

Kansas State has switched to a 4-2-5 defensive scheme this season. Previously the Wildcats were running a 3-3-5 defense, which required just one defensive tackle on the field. Now, there are two defensive tackles on the field nearly every down with different responsibilities.

“Kansas State sees me as a 3-technique that can play at 1-technique as well,” Bekibele explained.

As of now, the plan is for Bekibele to be enrolled at K-State in January.
