Steiner previously set the collegiate record in the 200m at the NCAA Championships in June before winning her first national title at the USATF Championships with a time of 21.77 seconds, a new personal best, the sixth fastest in American history, and the 17th fastest in world history. Steiner’s time of 21.77 is the second fastest in the world this year behind Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson’s 21.55.
Steiner isn’t the only Wildcat competing in Eugene, as several others have events this week, including Sydney McLaughlin, who begins her quest in the 400m hurdles on Tuesday. Here’s the complete schedule of UK Track & Field associated athletes at Worlds, the country they represent, and their events the rest of the week. Most events will be streamed on Peacock, with a few each day airing on USA Network, NBC, or CNBC (click here for a complete broadcast schedule).
