John Calipari is truly pulling out all of the stops on the recruiting trail. With the nation’s freshly-minted consensus No. 1 overall player Shaedon Sharpe joining top-20 point guard Skyy Clark in the class of 2022, Kentucky’s dominance in the high school ranks is coming back with a vengeance.

The future could look even brighter later tonight when five-star forward Chris Livingston makes his college decision at 7 p.m. EST. All signs are pointing to Livingston teaming up with Sharpe and Clark in Lexington, but the staff apparently isn’t satisfied with that talented trio of future pros.

According to On3‘s Joe Tipton, Kentucky head coach John Calipari and assistant coach Chin Coleman will conduct an in-home visit with five-star center Adem Bona on Thursday. The 6-foot-9 native of Nigeria is down to the likes of Kansas, Baylor, UCLA, and the ‘Cats, with official visits to all four schools scheduled over the next several weeks. Bona is ranked by On3 as the No. 13 overall player in the class of 2022.

As of right now, Kentucky has narrowed its recruiting efforts in the frontcourt down to just two prospects: Bona and 7-foot-1 center/alien Dereck Lively II. The sense is that Lively will wait until the late fall or even into the spring before making a decision with Bona likely announcing before then. UK is currently in great shape with both players and could snag both in the end, but there is still a long way to go and potential spacing issues to iron out.

Bona was offered by the UK staff in the middle of August and will visit Lexington the weekend of Oct. 2.

As a player who molds his game after former Wildcat Bam Adebayo, Bona would be a fantastic fit for Kentucky and what Coach Calipari’s system calls for. Bona has an unmatchable motor with athleticism not normal for people his size. There is plenty of raw talent still to be molded, but Bona is the type of player who does not quit and impacts the game in endless non-box score-y ways.

He can also do stuff like this, which does show up on the stat sheet.

Come on down, Adem.
