KSR’s KY High School Boys' Basketball Top 25 - Week 8

Troy Howellby:Troy Howell01/22/24

Bad weather wiped out most of the games last week, resulting in very little change to KSR’s statewide high school boys’ basketball rankings.

No. 14 Male moved up a spot after nearly upsetting No. 2 Great Crossing in the Dan Cummins Classic at Scott County. Junior star Malachi Moreno had 19 points and 12 boards to lead the Warhawks to a 65-63 comeback win. Meanwhile, Daviess County dropped out of the rankings after falling 74-68 at rival Owensboro. No. 25 North Hardin joined the rankings for the first time this season.

The All “A” Classic is scheduled for Thursday through Sunday at Corbin. No. 2 Lyon County and No. 8 Newport could be on a collision course for a Saturday semifinal. No. 13 Evangel Christian is on the opposite side of the bracket.

You can check out the entirety of the Week 8 Top 25 below. Our Week 7 rankings can be found here. KSR’s rankings are voted on by myself & Clark Howell. Fans are welcome to send their feedback on X/Twitter to @teeroyhowell and @rezinc.
