The first session of the 2022 Nike EYBL Tour tips off tonight in Orlando, Florida, and John Calipari will be front and center. According to Jake Weingarten, Cal will be in attendance to watch 2023 top prospect Kwame “KJ” Evans Jr., along with Dana Altman (Oregon) and Bruce Pearl (Auburn). Evans and Team Durant plays City Rocks at 7:45 p.m. You can watch online via Twitch.

Evans, a 6’10” power forward, is the No. 2 prospect in the 2023 class according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He has Kentucky in his top five, along with Oregon, Indiana, Auburn, and UCLA. Evans has only taken one official visit, to Kentucky on Nov. 5, but has one planned for Oregon on April 29.

On3’s Joe Tipton will be on the scene in Orlando to bring us all of the updates on who Calipari and his staff are watching. Also happening this weekend are the Nike Hoop Summit (tonight) and adidas 3SSB in Indianapolis, where future Wildcat Reed Sheppard will be in action. Jack Pilgrim will be by in a bit with a complete rundown on who’s playing when. Until then, watch some Kwame Evans Jr. highlights.
