Five-star wing Leonard Miller will declare for the 2022 NBA Draft while maintaining his college eligibility. The Kentucky target announced his decision Saturday evening.

“I am extremely grateful for every moment of my journey,” Miller said. “Every situation I have been in has contributed to my growth as a player and helped me get to this point.

“With the full support of my family, friends & coaches, I would like to officially announce that I will be declaring for the 2022 NBA draft while maintaining my college eligibility.”

Miller previously cut his list of options to three, with Arizona, Kentucky and the G League Ignite remaining in contention. The draft now presents a fourth option for the 6-foot-11 wing.

“The pro route is a big option for me; it is very visible right now,” Miller recently told On3‘s Jamie Shaw. “I just have to keep working for that to happen. There are a lot of people telling me the NBA Draft or the G-League could be possible. Eventually, I want to get drafted, so if that comes about this year, I will want to test that.”

Kentucky head coach John Calipari and assistant coach Chin Coleman made the trip up to Fort Erie International Academy to see the Canadian prospect back on March 25. Miller then took an official visit to Lexington last weekend.

“Not gonna lie, it was kind of crazy because they’re people I’ve looked up to my whole life, like Kentucky as a whole,” Miller told On3. “It was a good opportunity for me and (Calipari) liked me. I treated the situation like it was normal, but inside, it was kind of crazy.”

What stands out to Miller about the Kentucky Wildcats?

“Just what they do with their players. The opportunity to come and work for what I want and possibly get a lot of playing time, if I do work for it, and show what I can do at Kentucky. I’ve always liked them and they just have a good history of producing.”

Miller has taken trips to the G League Ignite facilities, Kentucky and Arizona. Now, it’s time for On3’s No. 11 prospect to explore the draft route before coming up with a final decision.
