Rounding up this week's Kentucky Football offers

Mark Stoops’ staff has been grinding on the recruiting trail this week.

On Tuesday, we covered the many scholarships that Kentucky Football had begun handing out to begin the week, and those efforts have only amped up since then. Just this week alone, the Wildcats have offered at least 30 different high school prospects of all ages and positions. The state of Florida appears to be a bigger point of emphasis right now (16 of the 30 offers I found on social media were for kids currently playing at a handful of powerhouse programs from the Sunshine State). Kentucky also went out and offered a few recruits already committed elsewhere.

The majority of these offers have been extended over the last 36-48 hours. We won’t touch on every single player, but I will list them all while going a bit more in-depth on a handful of the need-to-know names. We’ll go in order of their grade level.

All rankings are courtesy of the On3 Consensus.

Raylen Wilson: 6-0, 205-pound LB – Tallahassee, FL | ’23 [MICHIGAN COMMIT]
4-star, No. 76 overall; No. 6 LB

  • A Michigan commit since Dec. 2021, Raylen Wilson announced he received a Kentucky offer on Friday. It was his first offer since Michigan State extended one at the beginning of the month. Considering Wilson has an official visit to Georgia scheduled for June, perhaps he isn’t as locked into the Wolverines as he once was. Florida is also making a push, according to 247Sports, and Kentucky might believe it has a chance to get in on the action, too.

Markee Anderson: 6-4, 300-pound IOL – Roebuck, SC | ’23
4-star, No. 132 overall; No. 9 IOL

  • Markee Anderson is trending toward sticking with the home state South Carolina Gamecocks, but Kentucky extended an offer on Thursday. SC was his very first Divison I offer, which came back in Sept. 2020, and he’s been blowing up on the scene ever since. Clemson, LSU, and North Carolina are among the schools in the mix. UK’s new offensive line coach Zach Yenser was the one who extended the offer.

Ahmari Borden: 6-3, 180-pound WR – Bainbridge, GA | ’23 [STANFORD COMMIT]
4-star, No. 312 overall; No. 45 WR

  • It was just last month that Ahmari Borden committed to the Stanford Cardinal. Kentucky, along with UCF, both offered him on Thursday. Borden committed just days after receiving his Stanford offer and he was at one point considered a heavy Louisville lean before a visit out west changed his mind. The ‘Cats are going to test Borden’s dedication to Stanford.

Keyon Brown: 6-3, 190-pound WR – Tallahassee, FL | ’23
4-star, No. 379 overall; No. 56 WR

  • Florida State has the inside track as of right now for Keyon Brown, but Kentucky assistants Scott Woodward and Anwar Stewart set out to offer him on Friday. Brown has taken at least five visits to FSU this calendar year alone and the Seminoles were his first Divison I offer, which came in mid-January. Other schools such as Louisville, Miami (FL), Mississippi State, and Tennessee have offered him, as well. Brown is a relatively new riser from the class of 2023, so Kentucky isn’t too far behind in terms of building a relationship, but there is clearly work to be done.

Phil Picciotti: 6-3, 225-pound LB – Perkasie, PA | ’23
3-star, No. 453 overall; No. 47 LB

  • Once considered a Penn State lean in the fall, Phil Picciotti’s recruitment appears to have opened up as of the last few months. He’s hauled in offers from the likes of Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Michigan, USC, Michigan State, Auburn, and several others while taking visits to a few of them. UK’s defensive coordinator Brad White was the one who extended an offer to Picciotti, which was announced on Friday. The Nittany Lions might still be the favorite, but the competition has clearly heated up.

Rico Watkins: 5-11, 160-pound WR – Tallahassee, FL | ’23
3-star, No. 640 overall; No. 91 WR

  • Teammates with Keyon Brown at James Rickards (FL), Rico Watkins earned his Kentucky offer on Friday from defensive line coach Anwar Stewart. The ‘Cats weren’t among the top nine for Watkins, which he dropped on April 1. But looking at the competition, UK could easily get heavily involved. Oregon and Mississippi State highlight his top schools, which also include Troy, Arkansas State, USF, Indiana, UAB, Coastal Carolina, and Vanderbilt.

Daidren Zipperer: 6-1, 170-pound WR – Lakeland, FL | ’23

  • Daidren Zipperer is the only unranked class of 2023 offered over the last few days, but it might not stay that way for long — his recruitment has received a recent shot in the arm. Zipperer has picked up offers from Eastern Michigan, USF, UCF, Kentucky, and Middle Tennessee State since the start of April. New inside linebackers coach, Mike Stoops, was the one who offered for the ‘Cats.

Adarius Hayes: 6-4, 210-pound LB – Largo, FL | ’24
4-star, No. 46 overall; No. 6 LB

  • A top 50 sophomore in the nation, Adarius Hayes is hearing from every big-name school you can think of. Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, and Tennessee have all offered, with Kentucky’s Mike Stoops doing the same on Tuesday. It’s tough to say which way Hayes is leaning at the moment, which could work in UK’s favor as they make their pitch.

Bredell Richardson: 6-1, 180-pound WR – Tampa, FL | ’24
4-star, No. 70 overall; No. 13 WR

  • Bredell Richardson, like Hayes, is hearing from all the typical powerhouses. He holds close to 40 offers already, with Kentucky extending theirs on Wednesday, which also came from Mike Stoops. Richardson has already made visits this month to Alabama, Miami (FL), Georgia, and Clemson.

Anthony Carrie: 5-11, 185-pound RB – Tampa, FL | ’24
4-star, No. 71 overall; No. 6 RB

  • Teammates with Bredell Richardson at Carrollwood Day (FL), Anthony Carrie is considered a top-five running back in his class. His offer sheet is just as ridiculous as the players mentioned above him, too: Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Oregon, Notre Dame, etc. Kentucky defensive coordinator Brad White extended an offer to Richardson on Wednesday with the Louisville Cardinals doing the same on Thursday.

Jordan Pride: 6-2, 170-pound S – Blountstown, FL | ’24 [FLORIDA STATE COMMIT]
4-star, No. 128 overall; No. 12 S

  • Jordan Pride rounds out the recruits already committed elsewhere to receive a Kentucky offer this week. He’s been a Florida State pledge since June 2021, but that hasn’t stopped most programs from offering anyways. UK assistants Chris Collins and Anwar Stewart offered Pride, who hauled in scholarships from Georgia and Miami (FL) earlier this month. Pride has made a few trips to the Seminoles campus this spring, but Kentucky is still trying to wiggle into the picture.

Zycarl Lewis Jr.: 5-10, 160-pound WR – Tampa, FL | ’24
4-star, No. 151 overall; No. 23 WR

  • Another incredible offensive talent out of Carrollwood Day offered by Kentucky this week is Zycarl Lewis Jr., who is already up to roughly 20 Divison I scholarships. Kentucky’s Mike Stoops offered on Thursday with the Louisville Cardinals extending one of their own later in the day. The likes of Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, and plenty of others are also involved.

Jarvis Boatwright: 6-2, 175-pound S – Clearwater, FL | ’24
4-star, No. 227 overall; No. 21 S

  • Jarvis Boatwright has collected a handful of offers this week, starting with Kentucky on Tuesday. FIU, Louisville, and Iowa State have all since offered the rising Florida prospect. Tennessee and Georgia also extended offers earlier this year.

Garrett Stover: 6-2, 195-pound ATH – Sunbury, OH | ’24

Hank Weber: 6-4, 250-pound EDGE – Brentwood, TN | ’24

Gavin Grover: 6-6, 225-pound ET – Lewis Center, OH | ’24

Kelvin Crawford: 6-2, 180-pound WR – Quincy, FL | ’25

Gavin Nix: 6-0, 205-pound LB – Bradenton, FL | ’25

Zy’Aire Flecther: 6-5, 200-pound TE – Springfield, OH | ’25

Jared Smith: 6-6, 230-pound DL – Hoover, AL | ’25
