The college football recruiting dead period is nearing its end. Next month prospects will take unofficial visits to campus to see how programs operate during spring practice. Before those wheels begin spinning, the folks at national HQ have updated the 2025 On3 Recruiting Rankings.

There is only one player from the Commonwealth in the 2025 On300, Paducah Tilghman defensive back Martels Carter. Kentucky is the current favorite to land Carter in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

Even though the state does not produce a ton of top-flight talent, there are still more than a dozen Kentucky football targets in the latest On3 Rankings update. Let’s dive in.

Kentucky Targets in the 2025 On3 Recruiting Rankings

Tavion Wallace (LB) 6-1, 195 | Wayne County (Jesup, GA)
4-star: No. 44 overall, No. 2 LB

The younger brother of former UK linebacker Trevin Wallace is coveted by the biggest names in college football. Georgia, LSU, and Florida State have made an early impression, but he’s spent enough time at Kentucky to ensure the Wildcats will remain in the mix.

“My brother went there, so it’s always been love with them for the past three years. The coaches treat me just like they treat him,” Wallace said a few weeks ago. “I know if that was the school to choose, I’d be safe and it would feel like home up there in Lexington.”

Justin Hill (EDGE) 6-3, 220 | Winton Woods (Cincinnati, KOH)
4-star: No. 49 overall, No. 6 EDGE

Vince Marrow has logged many hours recruiting Winton Woods High School over the years. He has an inside track on IOL Raphael Greene. Locking up Hill will be a more challenging task. During the first round of visits this spring, he took trips to Georgia, Ohio State, and Oregon.

Trey McNutt (S) 6-0, 180 | Shaker Heights (Shaker Heights, OH)
4-star: No. 74 overall, No. 6 S

Vince Marrow is taking a big swing on the safety who climbed more than 25 spots and is now the No. 33 overall player in the On3 Industry Rankings. The Big Dog visited the Ohio State legacy recruit this spring, but the Buckeyes will be tough to beat for this one.

Bo Jackson (ATH) 6-0, 205 | Villa Angela-St. Joseph (Cleveland, OH)
4-star: No. 91 overall, No. 4 ATH

The Wildcats are in the mix for Jackson. An early spring visit to Lexington was lined up, but he took his talents to Georgia for the weekend instead.

Marquise Davis (RB) 5-11, 200 | Cleveland Heights (Cleveland, OH)
4-star: No. 102 overall, No. 7 RB

One of the biggest stars on campus for Kentucky Junior Day, Ohio State is the major player standing in the Wildcats’ way of the talented RB. Florida and Tennessee are also making a push for Davis.

Hylton Stubbs (S) 6-2, 175 | Mandarin (Jacksonville, FL)
4-star: No. 112 overall, No. 10 S

Kentucky is creeping around this talented prospect who has found himself in the middle of a classic three-way recruiting battle between the Sunshine State’s premier programs.

Iose Epenesa (EDGE) 6-4, 245 | Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL)
4-star: No. 131 overall, No. 14 EDGE

Many have long thought that Epenesa will follow his brother, a former all-conference player, to Iowa. That has not stopped Kentucky from pursuing one of the best athletes in the country. Epenesa was in Lexington last month for the Wildcats’ Junior Day. Miami, Illinois, and Missouri are also trying to poach the Iowa legacy recruit.

Dawayne Galloway (CB) 6-2, 175 | Franklin (Columbus, OH)
4-star: No. 133 overall, No. 13 CB

Kentucky has a window of opportunity thanks to some unforeseen circumstances. Ohio State has been lukewarm with Galloway. The Cats also have a leg up on Michigan after Steve Clinkscale, his primary recruiter, departed for the NFL. The Cats made his most recent cut on Friday and you might consider them the leaders in his recruitment.

Kade Pietrzak (DL) 6-5, 240 | Sheyenne (West Fargo, ND)
4-star: No. 167 overall, No. 14 DL

Yes, Kentucky is recruiting a prospect from North Dakota. The Wildcats offered the dominant defensive lineman that continues to climb the recruiting rankings. It should not surprise you that Nebraska and Iowa are also recruiting the North Dakota talent.

Keon Young (S) 6-0, 171 | Lakeland (Auburndale, FL)
4-star: No. 211 overall, No. 20 S

A friend of current Kentucky Wildcat Jaremiah Anglin, Jacob Polacheck picked a great day to post an interview with Young on KSR+.

Dontrell Glover (IOL) 6-4, 310 | Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA)
4-star: No. 217 overall, No. 12 IOL

Eric Wolford already received a commitment from Glover once. Can he do it again? Georgia is trying its best to keep the talented offensive lineman in the Peach State and Auburn is also going to be a player in this recruitment.

Andrew Marsh (WR) 6-0.5, 175 | Katy Jordan (Fulshear, TX)
4-star: No. 223 overall, No. 28 WR

Considered a top 50 talent by the other three major recruiting services, Daikiel Shorts established a relationship with Marsh during his time at Houston. Even though he’s closer to Texas A&M and LSU, Shorts convinced Marsh to come to Rupp Arena for a basketball game last month. His relationship with Shorts will keep the Cats in the mix until it’s time for him to make an announcement.

Christian Gass (LB) 6-4, 205 | Eastside (Covington, GA)
4-star: No. 227 overall, No. 25 LB

Kentucky entered the recruiting race for Gass last month when the Wildcats offered the linebacker a scholarship. An area UK recruits often, they’ll be going up against SEC heavy-hitters for Gass’ services, with Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and Missouri in the mix.

Martels Carter Jr. (S) 6-1, 185 | Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY)
4-star: No. 264 overall, No. 23 S

Mark Stoops joined Vince Marrow to make a strong, early push and it could quickly pay dividends. The top-ranked player in the state has a commitment on the horizon and it very well may be Kentucky.

Cameron Miller (CB) 5-10, 160 | Winslow Township (Atco, NJ)
4-star: No. 265 overall, No. 28 CB

Kentucky has made a big move for the talented two-way star. Some consider the Wildcats the leader over nearby Penn State. After a Junior Day visit, he’s returning to Lexington during spring practice. This is a name you need to remember.

Luka Gilbert (TE) 6-7, 225 | Lakota West (Cincinnati, OH)
4-star: No. 271 overall, No. 17 TE

A significant slider in the latest rankings update, Gilbert was once a Top 75 overall prospect. Kentucky was the first school to offer him a scholarship, putting the Cats in a nice position. Miami hosted him during their Junior Day, while Ohio State and Michigan loom large in the not-so-distant background.

Dante McClellan (LB) 6-3, 200 | McKinley (Canton, OH)
4-star: No. 279 overall, No. 30 LB

The talented linebacker, who’s coached by former Wildcat Antonio Hall, recently included Kentucky in his top eight. Louisville, Michigan State, and Tennessee appear to be the Cats’ top competition. Securing an official visit this summer to Kentucky is a top priority for Marrow and Co.

Romero Ison (WR) 5-10.5, 170 | Baltimore City College (Baltimore, MD)
4-star: No. 292 overall, No. 41 WR

A new target on the Kentucky big board, Ison received a scholarship offer from wide receivers coach Daikiel Shorts. The explosive athlete has taken a few trips to Penn State as Rutgers also tries to make a big move with the DMV prospect.
