LSU-Auburn kickoff time, TV coverage announced

LSU and Auburn will kick off on Sat., Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN or at 6:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network, the Southeastern Conference announced on Monday. Brian Kelly’s program welcomes Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze to Tiger Stadium for the first time since he was hired on the Plains.
LSU is coming off a historically bad defensive performance on Saturday in a 44-49 loss to Ole Miss. The road contest in Oxford, Miss. marked a record for combined total yardage (1343) in a game that LSU was involved in (previous was 1328, LSU at Ole Miss 2019).
“That’s not the way I like to play football,” Kelly said postgame. “Hats off to Ole Miss. They made a couple of plays at the end that they needed to and deserved to win.”
It was an inexcusable effort defensively on all fronts while the offense, led by quarterback Jayden Daniels, put up 637 total yards of offense, averaging 8.49 yards per play.

This week, LSU heads to Missouri to face the SEC East program, which ranks at No. 21 in the country. The game is set for 11 a.m. CT on ESPN and Kelly expects his team to step up to the plate.
“I expect them to respond the right way,” Kelly said. “They’ve got a lot of pride. They play for LSU. They know that that’s not the standard and I expect them to come back Monday ready to make sure that they address and we address as coaches the things that we need to do better as well,” Kelly said.
Auburn fell in a close matchup on Saturday to No. 1 Georgia, 27-20, and is on a bye this week before heading to Baton Rouge.
