BREAKING: Miami adds commitment from IOL Rhys Woodrow

Miami landed its eleventh commitment of the 2026 class Saturday evening by adding Orlando (Fla.) Boone three-star interior offensive lineman Rhys Woodrow, the No. 1031 overall prospect and No. 98 interior offensive lineman in the On3 Industry Ranking. Woodrow’s commitment gives the Hurricanes five offensive line commits including No. 1 overall prospect Jackson Cantwell, four-star offensive tackle Ben Congdon, three-star offensive lineman Joel Ervin and three-star interior lineman JJ Sparks.
Woodrow’s commitment to Miami comes almost two months after he last visited Coral Gables for the Hurricanes’ elite recruiting pool party the final weekend of March and three weeks before his official visit June 13. Miami’s staff increased communication with Woodrow earlier this spring before the 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive lineman locked in his spot Saturday.
Woodrow established himself as a two-sport athlete and starred in football and baseball through his high school career, and Miami became intrigued by the footwork he demonstrated as a first baseman. This fall will mark his fourth year as a varsity starter.

Miami offensive line coach Alex Mirabal visited Woodrow at his home earlier this month before sealing the deal.
CaneSport’s Take
Miami now has a full offensive line’s worth of commits in this year’s class but isn’t finished adding linemen. Head coach Mario Cristobal has already said he could see the Hurricanes adding six or seven offensive linemen in this year’s class, and Miami is still pushing hard for interior offensive linemen Canon Pickett and Breck Kolojay. Pickett and Kolojay have been Miami’s top two interior offensive line options this spring.
We’ll have a mock class coming out in the near future that goes into greater detail on who we think Miami could continue adding in this year’s cycle. This is a great year for offensive linemen, so we expect Miami to continue adding pieces during official visits.
