Former Michigan quarterback and NFL legend Tom Brady will join FOX as its lead analyst once he retires, according to a statement from CEO Lachlan Murdoch released Tuesday morning.

Via @NFLonFOX: “We are pleased to announce that immediately following his playing career, 7-time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady will be joining us at @FOXSports as our lead analyst. Over the course of this long-term agreement, Tom will not only call our biggest NFL games with Kevin Burkhardt, but will also serve as an ambassador for us, particularly with respect to client and promotional initiatives. We are delighted that Tom has committed to joining the Fox team and wish him all the best during this upcoming season.” FOX CORPORATION EXECUTIVE CHAIR & CEO – Lachlan Murdoch

New York Post sports media columnist Andrew Marchand reports the deal between Brady and FOX is 10 years, $375 million. For context, Brady has netted roughly $333 million in career NFL earnings since leaving Michigan.

“What an absolute coup for Fox Sports and Eric Shanks to get Tom Brady and keep it quiet so that Lachlan Murdoch could announce it on the Fox earnings call. Just, wow. Took all the criticism over losing Aikman and Buck and just dunked on everyone here.”

“From NFL Now: Tom Brady will be a broadcaster when he retires. But what if his team is out of the playoffs this year and he knows he’s done… will he jump in the booth for FOX for LVII? A FOX spokesman declined comment.”
