Wolverine TV: Breaking down new Michigan OL commit Tommy Fraumann
Michigan landed an intriguing commitment in three-star Wilmette (Ill.) Loyola Academy offensive tackle Tommy Fraumann shortly following his official visit.
The Wolverine’s EJ Holland shares his thoughts on Fraumann in the video below.
Fraumann Recruitment
Michigan hosted Fraumann for a surprise official visit over the weekend.
Fraumann saw U-M take down Big Ten bunkmate Washington and also got to spend plenty of time with head coach Sherrone Moore and offensive line coach Grant Newsome. Fraumann flipped his pledge from Miami (Ohio) to the Wolverines soon after.
Here is what Holland said about Fraumann.
“I don’t think anybody really knew much about Fraumann,” Holland said. “Michigan planned to take one more offensive lineman this cycle and had its eyes set on a center. I think the Wolverines will still take one, but they really liked Fraumann’s potential and frame at tackle. He’s 6-foot-7. He’s a legacy kid. He’s a player you can put on the back burner, develop and see if you can turn him into something down the line.”
Fraumann is the son of former Michigan linebacker Bob Fraumann, who played for the Wolverines in the late 90s and was part of the national championship team.
