Rivals300 Cartersville (Ga.) High wide receiver Brady Marchese flipped his commitment from Georgia to Michigan on Thursday afternoon.

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland shares his thoughts on Marchese in the video above.

Marchese Recruitment

Michigan initially pursued Marchese this offseason and hosted him for an official visit in late May.

At one point, it appeared Michigan would land Marchese before he ultimately spurned the Wolverines and picked Georgia. Michigan circled back during the early signing period and was able to win him over with an aggressive push.

Here is what Holland had to say about Marchese.

“This was a big flip for Michigan,” Holland said. “Michigan needed to find a replacement for four-star wide receiver Zion Robinson who flipped from U-M to Stanford earlier in the day. The Wolverines did just that by flipping Marchese from Georgia at the last minute. Marchese doesn’t have the height of Robinson, but he does have the speed. He ran an impressive 10.92 as a junior and can play inside or out. He is a welcomed addition to a wide receiver room in need of help.”

At 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, Marchese is ranked as the No. 27 wide receiver and No. 166 overall prospect nationally, per the Rivals Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 18 overall recruit in the state of Georgia.

Michigan holds 26 commits in its 2026 recruiting class — five-star Mineral (Va.) Louisa County running back Savion Hiter, five-star Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga EDGE Carter Meadows, Top 100 Honolulu (Hawaii) Kamehameha offensive tackle Malakai Lee, Rivals300 St. Louis (Mo.) DeSmet defensive lineman Titan Davis, Rivals300 Billings (Mont.)
