Abrams Recruitment

Michigan extended an offer to Abrams in February and quickly became a major player in his recruitment.

Abrams made his first visit to Michigan this spring and returned for his official visit in June.

Abrams recently named Michigan in his final four along with Alabama, Georgia and Oregon.

Here is what Holland had to say about his recruitment.

“Michigan came on a little late for Abrams but worked itself into his Top 4” Holland said. “Michigan needs to land an elite level linebacker this cycle, and Abrams definitely fits the description. He’s athletic, can run and has room to add some good weight to his frame. Michigan seems to be playing from behind coming out of official visits. The Wolverines need to make a serious move as his decision is nearing.”

Abrams plans to make a final decision on his birthday on July 16.

At 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, Abrams is ranked as the No. 8 linebacker and No. 163 overall prospect nationally, per On3. He is also ranked as the No. 5 overall prospect in the state of Maryland this cycle.

Michigan now has 21 commits in its 2026 recruiting class — five-star Washington (D.C.)
