Over the past year or so, Columbia High School’s Harrison Cluff has taken in his share of visits to Mississippi State. A couple of weekends ago, the 2025 offensive lineman prospect was back in Starkville for another unofficial visit.

Cluff was among several Magnolia State prospects on campus that weekend, and he enjoyed himself aroud the new staff at Mississippi State.

“It was a really good visit and a nice one,” Cluff recalled. “I enjoyed it and had a lot of fun. We got to tour the facilities, took pictures and ate and watched the basketball game. The best part to me was the pictures and the food because I am a big food guy.”

During his time on campus, Cluff had conversations with head coach Jeff Lebby and offensive line coach Cody Kennedy. And those talks were not just geared towards football, he said.

“I talked with Coach Lebby and Coach Kennedy some,” noted the 6-foot-4 and 295-pound Cluff. “It was good with Coach Lebby and I really like Coach Kennedy. I like the relationship we are building and I could see it getting better. We were talking about everything, honestly. We talked about football and life, just building a relationship with each other.”

On the recruiting trail, Cluff has reeled in several Division 1 offers over the past few months. That includes a couple of Power 5 offers and he also discussed his future visit plans.

“I have offers from Arkansas, Central Arkansas, Baylor and Southern Miss,” said Cluff. “Coach Kennedy wasn’t the coach that offered me at Arkansas, though. I am going to visit Tulane on January 27th and then I am going to Ole Miss on February 3rd.”

And with the Bulldogs, Cluff expects their staff to evaluate him further this spring. For now, State has not offered Cluff but he does feel at home around Lebby and company.

“Mississippi State said they would be watching me this spring,” Cluff mentioned. “I really like their new staff and like I said, I really like Coach Lebby and Coach Kennedy. I am enjoying the new staff, for sure.”

With more visits in his future, Cluff wants to keep studying his options at the next level. He has a decision timeframe in mind and he also has several factors that will play a role in his college choice.

“I want to make my college decision by the end of the summer,” explained Cluff. “I want to look at what I want to do with my future. I want to look at the coaching and just these schools, in general. I also want to see where I would fit best with a school and where I would have a good time.”
