Miami transfer WR Joshisa Trader commits to NC State
Some NC State fans were worried about junior quarterback CJ Bailey possibly entering the transfer portal with Miami in mind earlier this offseason. But instead of that happening, the Wolfpack brought South Florida to Raleigh.
The latest addition? Miami transfer wide receiver Joshisa Trader, who committed to NC State on Monday evening. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Trader, who has spent the previous two seasons with the Hurricanes, is the fifth addition that is either from the Miami area and/or played for the program last season to join the Wolfpack this offseason.
NC State has added commitments from two other Miami transfers — linebacker Raul Aguirre and wide receiver Chance Robinson — and two pledges from South Florida natives that played elsewhere – safety King Mack (Penn State) and running back Davion Gause (UNC) — over the past month.
Trader, the most-recent portal commitment, posted 19 receptions for 269 yards and two scores in two seasons to begin his career at Miami. He recorded a career-best five catches for 81 yards and a touchdown in the Hurricanes’ 26-20 loss to SMU on Nov. 1.

Now, Trader is reunited with his youth teammates, including the star quarterback, going into his third collegiate campaign.
