After Notre Dame cruised down the field again, the Irish went for it on 4th-and-1 from the NC State 7. Caden Fordham and Tra Thomas teamed up to sack QB CJ Carr for a loss of 10.

NC State’s offense handed the ball off to RB Hollywood Smothers on first and second down to bring up 3rd-and-4, but Bailey’s pass hit the ground and it was incomplete.
