Video reel: NC State senior commit Cole Cloer last three years

NC State senior wing commit Cole Cloer has been on the local scene before he even started his freshman year at Hillsborough (N.C.) Orange High.

The 6-foot-7, 185-pound Cloer picked NC State over Connecticut, Florida, Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas, Louisville, Virginia and North Carolina.

Cloer has offers from NC State, Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgetown, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami (Fla.), Mississippi State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Providence, South Carolina, Tennessee, Villanova, Virginia, Wake Forest, Appalachian State, High Point and Virginia Commonwealth.

Cloer was a standout at Orange High his first two years and won the NCISAA 2A state title at Greensboro (N.C.) Caldwell Academy this past winter. He is now attending prep powerhouse Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, which current NC State players Qadir Copeland and Alyn Breed played at. IMG will likely have some prep games this season on the ESPN platforms.

The Rivals’ No. 52-ranked senior has played all three years with CP3 traveling team in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League. Between local events or at Nike Peach Jam over the years, The Wolfpacker has watched Cloer play six times with CP3, and originally viewed him for the first time Aug. 21, 2022, at the CP3 Rising Stars Camp in Greensboro, N.C.

Cloer also has played in the Josh Level Classic, and before that the Josh Level Rising Stars Game. He played this past June at the NBPA Camp in Rock Hill, S.C.
