DL Sua Lefotu announces his commitment to Nebraska

Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco defensive lineman Sua Lefotu picked up an offer from Matt Rhule and Nebraska on January 14th. The 6-foot-4 and 285-pound Sua Lefotu took an official visit to Nebraska this weekend and announced his commitment to the Huskers following his visit.
Lefotu took an official visit to Washington on June 24th last year and committed on the 26th. In November, he announced over social media that he was decommitting from Washington to “…explore other options.”
Things were quiet for Lefotu in recruiting following his decommitment, but his senior season at St. John Bosco kept him busy. The Braves finished the season ranked No. 1 in the country, with a 13-1 record, and won the school’s fourth state championship by pitching a shutout against Serra (Calif.) San Mateo, 45-0.

Lefotu is projected to play the inside defensive line position at Nebraska, likely as a one-technique but could play the zero if he adds more weight to his frame. Lefotu is a three-star recruit, according to On3, is the No. 132-rated defensive lineman in the country and the No. 123-rated player in the state of California.
Nebraska is adding Lefotu to the 2023 recruiting class alongside four-star Argyle (Texas) defensive tackle Riley Van Poppel. Van Poppel is considered more of a three-technique/defensive tackle recruit for Nebraska.
