Former Wake Forest WR Jahmal Banks announces commitment to Matt Rhule and Nebraska

Nebraska made it a priority to add transfer help to the roster in January. As an example, Matt Rhule and his staff needed to add productive receivers in their young wide receivers’ room.
Turns out, Nebraska added a big piece to its roster with former Wake Forest wide receiver Jahmal Banks announcing his commitment to Nebraska.
“Nebraska is a place where you can receive the full package,” Banks said. “The people, the development, culture, facilities, resources, academics, honor, and so much more. Nebraska has a great staff who are committed to their vision.”

The Huskers also hosted former Texas wide receiver Isaiah Neyor, and Neyor committed immediately following his official visit to NU. Both portal wide receivers communicated in Lincoln during their visits with five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola, who signed with Nebraska in December.

Banks has 107 catches for 1,404 yards and 13 touchdowns during his career at Wake Forest. He surpassed the 600-yard receiving mark each of the last two seasons, indicating he’s a proven and consistent commodity. Both of these are missing from the Nebraska receivers’ room presently.
“Jahmal Banks is an experienced and productive wide receiver with great size and length allowing him to be a weapon near the goal line,” NFL Draft Diamonds wrote about Banks’ skillset. “[His] inability to consistently create separation is concerning, but his body control and ability to make tough catches allow him to succeed. “
Since entering the portal, Banks was offered by Nebraska, Michigan, Purdue, Minnesota, and West Virginia.
