Four-star CB Danny Odem Chooses Nebraska Over Clemson, Penn State, Oklahoma, and Ohio State

Nebraska has added a commitment from one of their top defensive prospects in the 2026 class, Danny Odem from Orlando (Fla.) The First Academy. The 6-foot-0 and 175-pound Odem took his official visit to Nebraska this past weekend. He had visited Lincoln previously for their elite junior day in February.
“The official visit to Nebraska this weekend was good,” Danny Odem said. “Really, the coaching staff and the rest of the people with the program stood out to me the most about the visit.”
Odem visited Nebraska after taking official visits to Oklahoma, Auburn, Ohio State, and Penn State. He wanted to get a feel for what it was like as a player already in the program while on his official visit to Nebraska.
“Jeremiah Charles was my player host this weekend,” Odem said. “I just wanted to ask him how it was around the coaching staff. He was telling me that they’re real genuine people who want to see you become successful.”

Nebraska recently lost cornerback CJ Bronaugh from the class when he flipped on his commitment to Florida. The Huskers also hosted cornerback Darion Jones for an official visit in June. Nebraska will likely take two versatile cornerbacks in the 2026 class.
Odem is a four-star recruit according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He is rated as the No. 198 recruit overall and the No. 19 cornerback in the country. Additionally, Odem ranks as the No. 27 player in Florida for the class of 2026.
