Huskers Land Talented Louisiana OT: Leon Noil Jr. Joins Nebraska's 2026 Class

Nebraska has added 6-foot-5 and 265-pound offensive tackle Leon Noil Jr. from New Orleans (La.) Edna Karr. Noil took his official visit to Nebraska on June 13 and also took official visits to UCF, Baylor, and Mississippi State. Noil planned to announce his commitment on July 7, but pushed back his decision timeline because the Nebraska offensive line portion of their 2026 class is nearly complete.
“The visit was perfect,” Noil said. “I was hanging around the coaches for multiple days, and you can really get a vibe. It is very much a family vibe here in Nebraska.”
The Huskers told Noil during his official visit that they can see him playing left tackle. Noil plays left tackle for Edna Karr and has excellent feet and pad level for an offensive tackle. However, Noil could also be a player who makes sense to play on the interior for the Huskers.
“I sat down with Coach Raiola for film study,” Noil said. “They can see me playing left tackle. I can play both tackle spots, but I feel that I am better at playing left tackle. The Nebraska offense is pro-style, and it can help me get ready for the next level.”
Official visit to Nebraska was big for Leon Noil’s decision
Noil had a great official visit to Nebraska two weeks ago. He heard from one of the starting offensive linemen about how the linemen get together every week for dinner. He left Nebraska feeling great about the relationship between the coaching staff and the players.

“My host was Justin Evans,” Noil said. “He told me about how the players interact with the coaches. The entire offensive line goes to Coach Raiola’s house every Thursday night for dinner.
“He told me some great things about Head Coach Rhule. Justin told me that Coach Rhule interacts well with all of the players, and if they text him about anything, he responds immediately.”
Noil is a three-star recruit according to the On3 Industry Ranking and is also ranked as the No. 67 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 23 player in Louisiana.
