Nebraska’s Class of 2027
Laikona joins setter Maisie Boesiger and middle blocker Kendall Omoruyi in the Huskers’ Class of 2027.
Boesiger is the younger sister of Nebraska senior defensive specialist Maisie Boesiger. Malorie attends Norris (Neb.) High School, which is on the outskirts of Lincoln. The 5-foot-10 setter missed her sophomore season with a knee injury.
Omoruyi, Nebraska’s second commit, is the top prospect in the Class of 2027 according to PrepDig. The 6-foot-4 middle blocker spent her sophomore season at Casteel High School in Queen Creek, Ariz. She hit .342 and recorded 2.7 kills per set and 0.8 blocks per set.
The Huskers need to add an outside hitter to their 2027 group, which would likely complete their class.
