Three-star Arizona State wide receiver commitment Nalin Scott from Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern has flipped to Nebraska. The Huskers hosted Scott during the June 20 recruiting weekend in Lincoln. Scott was in Lincoln the same weekend as Nebraska quarterback commitment Dayton Raiola for his official and unofficial visits. That relationship was a key factor in Scott’s decision to choose Nebraska.

“I would say that because of the position that I play I have a chance to come in and work for a spot,” Nalin Scott said. “The development piece, being coached by Coach Shorts, he’s put guys into the league in a short span of time. I will get to learn from a lot of others and I look forward to keep building this class.”

Nebraska quarterback commit Dayton Raiola from Buford (Ga.), has been personally recruiting Scott for the Huskers. According to Scott, his relationship with Raiola and his family played a major role in his decision to flip his commitment to Nebraska.

“Oh yeah, Dayton played a major role,” Scott said. “I would also say my family ended up getting close with Dayton and Dylan Raiola too. Me and Dayton have a good relationship since the first time I visited Nebraska.

“For most of my official visit we hung out. The relationship piece with Dayton is most definitely there. We have been the whole time. Everything has been good like that.”

Official visit to Nebraska answered the final questions for Scott

Scott took his official visit to Nebraska on June 20. A freshman wide receiver hosted him, and he came to Nebraska with numerous questions. Scott wanted to know about the vibe around the program between the coaches and the players.

“My player host was freshman wide receiver Isaiah Mozee,” Scott said. “He told me that the relationships between the players and the coaches are great and there isn’t any fake energy around the program. It was good getting to know him while on my visit.”

Scott is rated as a three-star recruit according to the On3 Industry Ranking, ranking as the No. 404 overall and No. 62 wide receiver nationally.
