Director of Operations Curtis Ledbetter is no longer with Nebraska baseball

Curtis Ledbetter is no longer with Nebraska baseball, HuskerOnline confirmed Wednesday.
Ledbetter had served as the Huskers’ director of operations since July of 2019 after spending one year as Nebraska’s volunteer coach under Darin Erstad. The Lawrence, Kansas, native spent a decade in the operations role prior to stepping in 2019 as a first-base coach and hitting coach. Ledbetter officially joined the Husker staff in 2008 following the conclusion of his three-year professional baseball career.
Ledbetter was a three-year starter for Nebraska from the 2003-2005 seasons. In that time, he earned first-team All-Big 12 recognition at both first base and designated hitter. His 180 career games featured a .320 batting average, 34 home runs and 166 RBIs.
During his senior year, Ledbetter helped the Huskers claim both the Big 12 Tournament and regular-season crowns and was named the Big 12 Tournament MVP. Postseason honors included NCAA Tournament All-Regional team in both 2003 and 2005. Ledbetter was a key piece of Nebraska’s first CWS win in 2005.

A source confirmed to HuskerOnline that Danny Marcuzzo, the Huskers’ volunteer assistant last season, is not in contention to fill Ledbetter’s shoes.
The change comes in the midst of head coach Will Bolt’s staff overall that saw the departure of pitching coach Jeff Christy and the additions of Rob Childress and Mike Sirianni to the full-time staff.
