Nebraska flips in-state QB Daniel Kaelin from Mizzou

Bellevue (Neb.) West quarterback Daniel Kaelin committed to Missouri in mid-March. The Huskers were in the running for the No. 1 quarterback in the nation, Dylan Raiola, until Raiola committed to Georgia earlier this week. Since Raiola committed to Georgia, the Nebraska staff has been all-in on Kaelin.
The names of Raiola and Kaelin have been linked for years, going back to a summer camp at Nebraska two years ago. The two quarterbacks were at a Friday Night Lights camp that Scott Frost and his staff were holding.
Things have changed drastically this week for Nebraska, losing out on their top quarterback target when Raiola committed to Georiga. In days, Nebraska went from all-in on Raiola to all-in on Kaelin.
The change in priority and the new attention has been clear to Kaelin, driving him to go from 100% committed to Mizzou to decommitting and flipping to the Huskers.

It will be very interesting to see how impactful the commitment of Kaelin is on his Bellevue West teammates that are also holding offers from Nebraska; Dae’Vonn Hall and Isaiah McMorris. Both Hall and McMorris are scheduled to take official visits to Nebraska on June 23rd.
As a junior, Kaelin threw for 3,361 yards and 39 total TDs (290 passing YPG), which earned him first-team all-state honors.
