Nebraska has landed 6-foot-8 and 305-pound offensive tackle Claude Mpouma from Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel. The Huskers hosted Mpouma the weekend of June 20, which was Mpouma’s third trip to Lincoln overall. Nebraska hosted Mpouma in November for an unofficial visit and again in February for Nebraska’s Elite Junior Day.

Claude Mpouma revealed his top five schools on June 6. The list included Ohio State, Michigan, Auburn, Florida, and Nebraska. Mpouma visited Auburn, Florida, and Nebraska officially.

Nebraska hosted Mpouma’s last official visit. The Huskers managed to impress Mpouma that weekend. One of the things he says he liked about the Nebraska football program is their family culture.

“What I really like the most about Nebraska is their emphasis on the family culture that the program brings.”

During all of Mpouma’s visits he was able to see some of the best facilities around the country. Every football program has facilities, but Nebraska’s stood out to Mpouma out of the visits he took.

“Nebraska’s facilities are incredible,” Mpouma said. “They have a community there that cares about their football team.”

Mpouma becomes the eleventh known commitment in the 2026 recruiting class. He is rated a four-star recruit based on the On3 Industry Ranking and is considered the No. 176 recruit and No. 15 offensive tackle in the country.
