Nebraska's Brice Williams earns his second Big Ten Player of the Week honor
After two impressive showings in consecutive top-25 upsets, Nebraska’s Brice Williams was named the Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday.
The senior guard averaged 27.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in the Huskers’ wins over then-No. 18 Illinois and No. 16 Oregon. He’s now scored in double figures in 20 of 22 games this season.
The former Charlotte transfer currently ranks fourth in the conference at 19.0 points per game, shooting 46.8 percent from the field, 35.4 percent on 3-pointers, and 89.4 percent at the free-throw line.

Williams joins Shavon Shields as the only NU player to earn multiple Big Ten Player of the Week honors. Shields did it twice during the 2013-14 season. Williams also won it on Dec. 16 following his 30-point effort in NU’s win over Indiana.
Williams and the Huskers hope to keep things rolling with another conference road matchup against Washington on Wednesday night. The game will tip at 9:30 p.m. CT and air on the Big Ten Network.
