RB Jamal Rule Commits to Nebraska: Huskers Secure Key Piece in 2026 Recruiting Class

Running back Jamal Rule from Charlotte (N.C.) Christian has committed to Nebraska. After his official visit to Lincoln, Rule was quoted as saying the Huskers were in his top two heading into his final official visit to Michigan State. Rule is considered a three-star recruit according to On3’s Industry Ranking and is the No. 44 running back in the country for the 2026 recruiting cycle.
Jamal Rule has committed to Nebraska, potentially securing the only running back position in the class. The Huskers hosted Rule for his official visit to Lincoln during the weekend of June 13.
Rule’s player hosts were running back Kwinten Ives and true freshman wide receiver Isaiah Mozee. The two current Huskers shared their thoughts with Rule about how he can better prepare himself for college.
“It was Isaiah Mozee the first day and Kwinten Ives on the second day,” Rule said. “They told me what I needed to do when I get to college as a freshman.”

Rule had an opportunity to speak with the Nebraska coaches during his official visit about the offense and how he fits in. The running back room offers a chance for Rule to make an early impact once he arrives in Lincoln.
Rule has made official visits to Syracuse and Virginia Tech before traveling to Nebraska, and he completed his final visit to Michigan State the weekend after his trip to Lincoln.
