One of the nation’s most iconic stadiums will host one of the hottest entertainment acts in sports when the Savannah Bananas come to Memorial Stadium on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

The Bananas announced their 2026 Banana Ball World Tour on Thursday night, and Lincoln will be one of more than 70 stops. First pitch at Memorial Stadium is set for 7 p.m., with the Bananas taking on the Firefighters. The game will be one of two Lincoln appearances on the tour — they’ll also play at Haymarket Park on Thursday, June 11.

“This is an exciting day for Nebraska Athletics and the City of Lincoln,” Nebraska Athletic Director Troy Dannen said. “Since we began pursuit of large stadium-type shows for Memorial Stadium, the Savannah Bananas have consistently been one of the top events Nebraskans have said they want to see. This will be a great event for families to enjoy as summer 2026 kicks off in Lincoln.”

Fastest game in sports

Banana Ball has exploded in popularity with its fast-paced rules and high-energy presentation. There are 11 unique rules, including the fan-favorite twist where a foul ball caught by a fan counts as an out. Most players on the Bananas roster are former college and minor league players.

The Bananas have drawn massive crowds everywhere they go. In 2025, they sold out more than 50 cities. A stop at Clemson’s Memorial Stadium brought in 81,000 fans, the largest crowd in Banana Ball history.

Memorial Stadium’s big-event streak continues

This is the latest in a growing list of non-football events to fill Memorial Stadium. In 2021, nearly 90,000 fans attended a Garth Brooks concert. Two years later, in 2023, Nebraska set a U.S. attendance record for a women’s sporting event when 92,003 fans showed up for Volleyball Day in Nebraska.

Ticket information

Tickets for both the Memorial Stadium and Haymarket Park games will be sold directly through the Savannah Bananas. Fans must join the Ticket Lottery List at bananaball.com by Oct. 31, 2025.

Joining the list does not guarantee tickets — a random drawing will determine who gets the chance to purchase. If selected, fans will be notified and can complete the verification and purchase process.

  • Ticket prices start at $40 for large venues and MLB stadiums.
  • Meet and Greet tickets start at $125.
  • All tickets are sold only through FansFirstTickets.com. Tickets bought anywhere else (StubHub, VividSeats, Ticketmaster, social media, etc.) are not guaranteed to be valid and may be fraudulent.

The lottery is completely random, so joining earlier doesn’t increase your chances.
