On Monday, the Notre Dame football program picked up its first pledge in the 2026 cycle. Boca Raton (Fla.) Saint Andrew’s School sophomore Dylan Faison — the brother of Irish freshman wide receiver Jordan Faison — verbally committed to Notre Dame.

Dylan’s commitment comes after being one of 84 recruits to report an offer from the Fighting Irish on Pot of Gold Day.

“Notre Dame has felt like home since the first day I stepped on that campus,” Faison told Blue & Gold before making his decision public. “Their community is the most supportive, and the school sets you up for life after sports. I couldn’t be more grateful!”

Notre Dame was the first school to offer Dylan, a 2026 class wide receiver and defensive back. The Irish scout him as a receiver. In addition to football, Dylan will also play lacrosse for Notre Dame.

Like his older brother, Dylan is an outstanding two-sport athlete. On the gridiron, he caught 18 passes for 480 yards (26.7 yards per catch) and 8 touchdowns in 2023, according to MaxPreps. He is also a dynamic punt returner who racked up 61 yards on three plays. In four charted defensive games, he had 20 tackles and an interception.

In 12 lacrosse games this spring, he has 50 goals and 26 assists, leading his team to an 11-1 record. USA Lacrosse Magazine named Dylan an All-American as a freshman. Jordan was also an All-American last spring. Dylan attended Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Pine Crest, the school that produced Jordan, before transferring to Saint Andrew’s School for his sophomore year.

On Wednesday, USA Lacrosse Magazine recognized Dylan in its High School Boys’ Players of the Week section for a notable performance.

Notre Dame 2026 WR commit Dylan Faison has exciting potential if he is anything like Jordan Faison

In October 2021, Jordan verbally committed to the Notre Dame men’s lacrosse program. That was in the middle of a junior football season, in which he contributed to the team as a dual-threat quarterback. Jordan completed 16-30 pass attempts for 269 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Jordan was also an electric ball carrier as a junior. He had 89 carries for 409 yards (4.6 yards per carry) and 5 touchdowns. It paved the way for a special senior season that caught the attention of Power Five football programs.

In his final high school season, Jordan finished with 1,661 yards and 9 touchdowns on 143 carries (11.6 yards per carry). He picked up a full-ride football scholarship from Iowa and received interest from Mississippi State, Penn State, UCF, UCLA and Yale. However, Jordan turned them all away to eventually commit to the Notre Dame football program as a PWO on Nov. 9, 2022.

Jordan was a surprise breakout player for the Irish in 2023. After being on the scout team until October, the Irish called him into action because of depleted wide receiver depth. In 7 games, he had 19 receptions for 322 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Jordan capped off his freshman campaign with a 5-catch, 115-yard performance that included a touchdown in a 40-8 victory over Oregon State in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl. In the first six games of his freshman men’s lacrosse season, he has 13 goals and three assists.
