Notre Dame recruiting update with Mike Singer: MAJOR recruiting weekend | Pot of Gold recap | more

In a weekly YouTube live show at Blue & Gold, recruiting writers Kyle Kelly and Mike Singer give the latest on Notre Dame’s recruiting efforts.

The guys start the show by discussing this past Sunday’s Pot of Gold day, where Notre Dame offered over 80 new prospects in the 2026 class. What did the guys take away from the big day that also included a new commitment?

Singer and Kelly have a healthy debate about the Irish’s 2026 quarterback situation and how the Notre Dame staff should approach their situation. And they also break down the top visitors in South Bend this weekend.

It is not a show to miss for Fighting Irish fans. Watch it in the video player above!

The show aired live on the Blue & Gold YouTube page Friday at 1:00 p.m. ET. Watch a replay of this week’s show in the video player above.

2026 WR Dylan Faison commits to Notre Dame football

On Monday, the Notre Dame football program picked up its first pledge in the 2026 cycle. Boca Raton (Fla.) Saint Andrew’s School sophomore Dylan Faison — the brother of Irish freshman wide receiver Jordan Faison — verbally committed to Notre Dame.

Dylan’s commitment comes after being one of 84 recruits to report an offer from the Fighting Irish on Pot of Gold Day.

“Notre Dame has felt like home since the first day I stepped on that campus,” Faison told Blue & Gold before making his decision public. “Their community is the most supportive, and the school sets you up for life after sports. I couldn’t be more grateful!”

Notre Dame was the first school to offer Dylan, a 2026 class wide receiver and defensive back. The Irish scout him as a receiver. In addition to football, Dylan will also play lacrosse for Notre Dame.

Like his older brother, Dylan is an outstanding two-sport athlete. On the gridiron, he caught 18 passes for 480 yards (26.7 yards per catch) and 8 touchdowns in 2023, according to MaxPreps. He is also a dynamic punt returner who racked up 61 yards on three plays. In four charted defensive games, he had 20 tackles and an interception.

In 12 lacrosse games this spring, he has 50 goals and 26 assists, leading his team to an 11-1 record. USA Lacrosse Magazine named Dylan an All-American as a freshman. Jordan was also an All-American last spring. Dylan attended Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Pine Crest, the school that produced Jordan, before transferring to Saint Andrew’s School for his sophomore year.

On Wednesday, USA Lacrosse Magazine recognized Dylan in its High School Boys’ Players of the Week section for a notable performance.
