High school football’s regular season is entering the home stretch nationwide, while some states begin postseason play this week. With about two months’ worth of game tape available, it is time to adjust the 2025 class prospect rankings.

On Monday, On3 updated its On300, which features two Notre Dame football verbal commits and about 25 top targets. Most notably, four-star quarterback pledge Deuce Knight from Lucedale (Miss.) George County slightly fell two spots from the No. 28 overall player to No. 30.

The 6-foot-4½, 180-pound Knight maintained his No. 4 positional ranking and 94 rating. He’s still the No. 2 recruit in Mississippi behind Ackerman (Miss.) Choctaw County wide receiver Caleb Cunningham

Knight began his junior season at Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy, where he completed 57-108 passes for 627 yards, 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He also registered 35 carries for 154 yards and 3 scores.

After returning home to George County High School, Knight has connected on 20-42 throws for 354 yards, 4 touchdowns and 1 pick. He’s been more effective on the ground, rushing 24 times for 181 yards and 4 scores. However, he has lost three fumbles.

Irish EDGE commit C.J. May of Highland Home (Ala.) High rose 30 spots to the No. 212 overall player in the 2025 recruiting cycle. He also received a one-point rating bump and is the No. 17 EDGE rusher instead of No. 21. May dropped one spot in the state to the No. 14 prospect in Alabama.

Entering last week, May had 38 tackles, 9 for loss, 7 sacks, 14 quarterback pressures and 5 pass deflections in 7 games. He recorded an interception returned for a 39-yard touchdown and a fumble recovery in the turnover department.

Five Notre Dame football recruiting targets debut in the On300

A handful of Fighting Irish recruits with offers debuted in the On300, including tight end Linkon Cure, who made the biggest dive into the rankings. The 6-4½, 210-pounder from Goodland (Kan.) High is now the No. 43 overall player, No. 2 tight end nationally and No. 1 prospect in Kansas.

Cure visited Notre Dame for the USC game Saturday and picked up an offer. In the first six games of his junior campaign, Cure has collected 30 catches for 738 yards and 10 touchdowns. On3 gave him a 94 rating.

Las Vegas Bishop Gorman wide receiver Derek Meadows appeared as the No. 172 overall player, No. 20 wide receiver in the country and No. 3 prospect in Nevada. His rating increased two points from 88 to 90. He was previously the nation’s No. 56 wide receiver and No. 6 Nevada recruit.

The 6-5, 185-pound Meadows participated in Notre Dame’s Irish Invasion camp on June 4 and received a scholarship offer from wide receivers coach Chansi Stuckey. He’ll return for the Pittsburgh game on Oct. 28.

Another recruit who earned an offer from the Irish in June was Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall offensive tackle Will Black. The 6-7, 285-pound prospect rose to the No. 205 overall player, No. 14 offensive tackle nationally and No. 1 recruit in Connecticut.

On3 increased Black’s rating from 88 to 90. Before Monday, he was the country’s No. 28 offensive tackle and No. 3 Connecticut prospect. Irish O-line coach Joe Rudolph offered Black after he participated in Notre Dame’s “Lineman’s Challenge” on June 3.

Notre Dame offered Baltimore Perry Hall safety Corey Costner on Sept. 13. On3 has now ranked the 6-foot, 180-pounder as the No. 220 overall player, No. 12 “athlete” in the nation and No. 7 prospect in Connecticut. He has a 90 rating.

Lastly, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy’s Gavin Nix checked in as the No. 272 overall player, the country’s No. 28 linebacker and No. 34 recruit in Flordia. Prior to Monday, Nix was the nation’s No. 37 linebacker and No. 55 prospect in Florida, per On3. His rating jumped from 88 to 90.

The 6-foot, 226-pound Nix unofficially visited Notre Dame on April 15 and left with an offer.
