COLUMBUS – Ohio State consistently recruits the top high school football players across the country. Several future Buckeyes had strong performance this past week.

Each week during this high school football season, Lettermen Row will report on how each Ohio State commit and their teams perform during the 2025 football season.

Quarterbacks

Four-star Mission Viejo (Calif.) quarterback Luke Fahey was 23 for 26 for 375 yards and three touchdowns in a 59-14 win over Santa Fe Springs (Calif.) St. Paul. Fahey also had 20 rushing yards and one touchdown on four attempts.

2027 Four-star Huntington Beach (Calif.) quarterback Brady Edmunds was 20 for 32 for 179 yards and three touchdowns in a 20-19 loss to Mission Viejo (Calif.) Trabuco Hills. Edmunds also 16 rushing yards on three attempts.

Running backs

Four-star Delaware (Ohio) Hayes running back Favour Akih did not play against Columbus (Ohio) Marion-Franklin after suffering an ankle injury in his season opener.

2028 Four-star Tampa (Fla.) Blake running back Elijah Hall rushed for 123 yards and one touchdown on 13 attempts in a 33-0 win over Valrico (Fla.) Bloomingdale.

Wide receivers

Five-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. does not have a game this week after Torrance (Calif.) Bishop Montgomery forfeited their game. As a result, Henry was able to visit Ohio State on Saturday.

Four-star Inglewood (Calif) Mater Dei wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt does not have a game this week after Torrance (Calif.) Bishop Montgomery forfeited their game. As a result, Dixon-Wyatt was able to visit Ohio State on Saturday.

Four-star wide receiver Jaeden Ricketts and Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial beat Thornville (Ohio) Sheridan 42-14.

Four-star Fort Wayne (Ind.) Northrop wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford had six receptions for 139 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-23 win over Huntington (Ind.) North. Guilford also had 21 rushing yards and one touchdown on four attempts.

Four-star Southlake Carroll (Texas) wide receiver Brock Boyd had six receptions for 88 yards and one touchdown in a 49-0 win over Midland (Texas) Lee.

2027 Five-star Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne wide receiver Jamier Brown had four receptions for 74 yards in a 38-28 loss Pickerington Central (Ohio) on Friday, Aug. 29. Brown also had 13 rushing yards and one touchdown on two attempts.

Tight end

Three-star Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School tight end Corbyn Fordham had four receptions for 44 yards and one touchdown in a 35-12 win over Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy.

Offensive line

Four-star offensive lineman Sam Greer and Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban lost to Severn (Md.) Archbishop Spalding 58-28.

Four-star interior offensive lineman Max Riley and Avon Lake (Ohio) lost to Mentor (Ohio) Lake Catholic 21-14.

Three-star offensive tackle Aaron Thomas and Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe beat Maricopa (Ariz.) 34-8.

Three-star offensive lineman Tucker Smith and Phoenix (Ariz.) Sandra Day O’Conner beat Surprise (Ariz.) Valley Vista 42-6.

Defensive line

Four-star Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra defensive lineman Khary Wilder had five total tackles, one tackle for loss and one sack in a 47-0 win over Los Angles (Calif.) Hamilton.

Four-star Egg Harbor Township (N.J.) St. Augustine Prep defensive lineman Damari Simeon had two sacks in a 24-14 win over Canton (Ohio) McKinley

Three-star defensive lineman Cameron Brickle and Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy beat Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township 35-14.

Three-star defensive lineman Jamir Perez and Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville beat Powell (Ohio) Olentangy Liberty 13-7.

Linebackers

Four-star linebacker Cincere Johnson and Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville beat Powell (Ohio) Olentangy Liberty 13-7.

Four-star linebacker CJ Sanna and Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy beat Perrysburg (Ohio) 28-20.

Cornerback

Four-star Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic athlete Jordan Thomas had eight total tackles, four solo tackles and one pass defended in a 22-21 win over East St. Louis (Ill.). He also blocked a punt.

Safeties

Four-star Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic safety Blaine Bradford does not start his season until Friday, Sept. 5.

Four-star Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School safety Simeon Caldwell had eight total tackles, seven solo tackles and one fumble recovery in a 35-12 win over Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy.
