MADISON, Wisc. — Just as Ohio State is getting three of its biggest stars back in action, it also is losing a major offensive contributor for the primetime road showdown at Wisconsin.

The Buckeyes will have star running back TreVeyon Henderson, defensive back Denzel Burke and wide receiver Emeka Egbuka back in action for the trip to Madison. All three made the trip and are not listed as out of questionable ahead of the showdown, slated for 7:30 p.m. on NBC.

But running back Miyan Williams, who had 24 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown last week in the win over Penn State, is out for the Buckeyes. He has been in and out of the Ohio State lineup all season with undisclosed injury issues.

Henderson, meanwhile, is back in action for the first time since the Buckeyes win over Notre Dame on Sept. 23. In that road win, he had over 100 yards rushing and a touchdown to lead them to the top-10 win.

Ohio State was able to beat Penn State last weekend without Burke, who has been one of the best cornerbacks in all of college football this season. Freshman cornerback Jermaine Mathews Jr. stepped in for Burke last week in the win over Penn State — and he performed well.

And Egbuka will suit up for the first time since the Oct. 7 win over Maryland, when he left the game in the third quarter and did not return.

“Feel good about the guys that are on the trip,” Day told reporters who met the Buckeyes at the team hotel on Friday. “And who’s going to play on Saturday, so I feel like we’re getting a bunch of guys back.”

That ‘bunch of guys’ includes three of the Buckeyes’ biggest stars, especially on offense. But just as they’re getting healthy at key spots, Miyan Williams will be out.

And the carousel of Ohio State running backs on the availability report just keeps spinning.

Other availability report notes

Tight end Joe Royer is not on the injury report for the Buckeyes. He has been out for nearly a month with an undisclosed issue.

Freshman defensive lineman Will Smith Jr. is still out for the Buckeyes, as are sophomore wide receiver Kyion Grayes and fourth-year defender Kourt Williams II. Williams is expected to miss the entire season with a knee injury sustained during the preseason.

The full availability report from the program is now confirmed, making note that Ohio State doesn’t detail injury or disciplinary matters.
