Another “fax” has come in with the addition of Jones College (Miss.) four-star cornerback Cedrick Beavers. The 5-foot-11, 170 pound defensive back signed with the Rebels over offers from Arkansas and Louisville.

Beavers, who played his high school ball at Taylorsville (Miss.) just wrapped up his sophomore season at Jones College in 2022. The newest Rebel had 33 tackles, three interception, three pass breakups and 1.5 tackles for loss for the Bobcats.

At Taylorsville (Miss.) he was a three-sport star. In baseball, he hit .337 as a senior with 32 hits, 16 runs batted in, four triples and three home runs. He also stole 68 bases his final two years at the prep level.

On the gridiron, though, he finished his senior year with 71 tackles, six tackles for loss and six interceptions and was selected to play in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game.

Back in February, the junior college prospect had a chance to sit down with Pete Golding and go over his film.
