Huge Day for the Oregon Ducks on the Diamond (s)

Not your typical Friday for Oregon baseball and softball. Later today both squads will find themselves in key battles in the post-season.
First up will be Oregon baseball taking on Nebraska in the Big Ten tournament. The Ducks opened up Big Ten tournament play with a 4-2 win over Michigan State on Thursday. A win over Nebraska today would keep Oregon alive in the tournament. A loss to Nebraska would be the end of the tournament run and would make Oregon’s chances of hosting a regional tough (er).
First pitch is set for 4 PM PST and will stream on the Big Ten Network. This will be a battle of the lefties with both pitchers, Jackson Brockett and Grayson Grinsell taking the mound to start.

It’s a bit of a home game for Nebraska with the game being played at Charles Schwab field in Omaha.
For softball it’s a matchup with a school that might be tired of facing Oregon in college sports. The Ducks will face Liberty who moves on after a shocking win over Texas A&M. This will not be lose and go home for Oregon as it’s a best of three series in this Super regional matchup.
Today’s game is set for 7 PM PST and will stream on ESPNU. Game 2 is set for Saturday at 4 PM PST and will air on ESPN or ESPN2. These are home games for the Ducks at the Jane. The ability to host is a huge plus for the Ducks who have played well at home this season. The Jane should be rocking with tickets being hard to come by for fans.
