QUACKKKK: Oregon Lands Talented 2026 Running Back Commit

Dan Lanning has another link in the chain of his Texas-Eugene pipeline. Once again Oregon is able to snag an early commitment from one of the nation’s top offensive playmakers.
Texas High (Texas) running back Tradarian Ball has committed to Oregon over Texas, Oklahoma and others. The 5-foot-9, 170-pounder is one of the top backs in the 2026 recruiting cycle.
Currently Ball checks in as the No. 55 ranked player nationally and the No. 5 ranked running back in his class per the On3 Industry Rankings.
This is a huge early pickup for the Ducks looking to replace some bodies at running back down the line. With Ball only a junior this season, he’ll be counted on in a couple years with Oregon seeing some of its talented backfield graduating.

As Oregon continues to work the Lone Star state, this is also a big help in those recruiting efforts with other targets.
I would expect moving forward Oregon will consider taking more than one running back in this 2026 cycle.
