Penn State football’s class of 2024 took center stage in the final weekend of July at the Lasch Bash Minicamp. But the commits that will join the Nittany Lions in January and beyond weren’t the only players that stood out during the weekend-long event. Several underclassmen, mostly offensive linemen, also shone during the one-on-one portion of Penn State’s camp.

Penn State targets in 2025 and beyond

We’ll start with 2026 offensive lineman Kevin Brown. The West Virginia legacy is already a rising prospect after a strong summer and stands at 6-4, 235. Brown is a Harrisburg native, but his father was an offensive lineman at West Virginia.

So far, Brown has made three trips to Penn State and hasn’t visited another school. As a 2026 prospect, expect that to change. He has offers from six schools, including Pitt, Syracuse, and West Virginia.

Penn State interested in another set of tall tackles

Avon Old Farms has another Penn State prospect on the radar for 2025 in tackle Owen Aliciene. While the Nittany Lions didn’t land Avon Old Farms senior Benedict Umeh, they have another shot with Aliciene. The 6-7, 275-pound offensive line prospect is a three-star talent in the early rankings for next season. However, he doesn’t have a ranking by all four recruiting services just yet. Aliciene saw the most reps of any of the young linemen at camp aside from 2025 interior prospect Michael Carroll.

The offensive tackle prospect has visited Boston College and Penn State twice, so his early Recruiting Prediction Machine figures are virtually tied between the two programs.

We’re returning to New England for 6-7 tackle Will Black who flashed at camp alongside Aliciene. He’s another rising prospect in 2025 at tackle with a massive frame and good movement skills. While only a three-star prospect, Penn State will have stiff competition from national teams for his services. He has offers from Notre Dame, Alabama, Michigan, and Miami among his 17 offers. Black is more well-traveled than the other players we’ve mentioned so far. He’s visited Notre Dame and Penn State twice but has trips to Syracuse, Pitt, and Michigan under his belt as well.

Lastly, we look at New Jersey offensive lineman Michael Troutman. The 6-4, 275-pound interior lineman visited the program for the first time this weekend. He has offers from Penn State, Duke, Pitt, Boston College, and Texas A&M.
