Penn State will have one of its top in-state offensive targets on campus for a midweek visit. The Nittany Lions will play host to Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh tight end Andrew Olesh for a practice on Thursday.

The four-star prospect was originally set to start a round of spring visits at Ohio State on March 23, but instead he’ll be back in Happy Valley. Olesh has visited the Nittany Lions more than any other program and he’s still slated to be on campus on April 4 as well. He’ll also go to Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida, Miami and likely Missouri this spring.

The Nittany Lions offered back in January and sit atop the On3 RPM for Olesh, who debuted in the On3 Top 100 late last month. Tight ends coach Ty Howle has been on the case for Penn State.

“I’m definitely closest with Penn State for now because I’ve been there the most and they were one of the first big schools to offer me,” Olesh told On3 about Penn State. “I’m really comfortable with (co-offensive coordinator/tight ends coach) Ty (Howle)and his tight end room. Penn State has been very great so far and right now, I would put them as one of my top schools.”

More visits for Penn State target Olesh

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound prospect wants to take visits in the spring and the summer before making a decision. He was originally aiming to decide in February or March, but a recent run of offers has gotten his attention.

“I want to make sure I am going to the place with the people that I am most comfortable with,” Olesh said. “That’s important and I also want to know about a school’s academics and tight end history. When it comes to making that decision, it will be about who I am most comfortable with and if they can take me to the next level.”

Olesh is a four-star prospect according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He checks in as the No. 191 overall prospect nationally and the nation’s No. 8 tight end. Olesh caught 53 passes for 972 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023. He was an all-area selection as a junior.
