SMU ties the game
10/25/2025 11:55:30 AMThe Mustangs got the ball into the red zone, but the drive stalled after a couple of negative runs. Kicker Sam Keltner knocked the 36-yard field goal through the uprights to tie the game at three. 11:53 left in the second quarter.
End of first quarter: SMU 0, Wake Forest 3
10/25/2025 11:48:03 AMThe SMU offense struggled mightily in that first quarter. Before its most recent drive, the Mustangs totaled 10 yards on five drives. That said, SMU is now moving the ball heading into the second quarter and will have a 1st and 10 at the Wake 44-yard line. The Mustang offense need to improve in the second quarter. Defensively, SMU is dominating Wake Forest, holding the Deacs to -1 yards.
Slow start on offense
10/25/2025 11:34:31 AMThrough six drives both teams have combined for four total yards. Because of a shank from SMU punter Wade McSaprron, Wake start its third drive at the SMU 20-yard line. The Mustang defense stood tall and forced the Deacs to settle for three points. The SMU defensive line is dominating in the early going in Winston-Salem. Wake Forest leads 3-0 with 4:59 remaining in the first quarter.
