Texas A&M Cracks the Top Seven for Four-Star DL Will Norman

2023 Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star defensive lineman Will Norman announced on Twitter that he is now down to seven schools: Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Penn State and Texas A&M.
The four-star is coming off visits to Florida, Florida State, LSU and Penn State in recent weeks, most recently stopping through Happy Valley on March 19th.
Norman last visited Texas A&M for a camp last summer, but has not been back to College Station since. As he looks to further cut down his list and eventually make a decision, getting the four-star back on campus should be a priority for the Texas A&M staff in order to generate some momentum in his recruitment.
As it stands, Florida is the heavy favorite to land Norman according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Currently, the RPM gives Florida a 73.6 percent chance to secure his commitment, while Penn State sits in second at 6.4 percent.
He visited Gainesville in January, but came away impressed with Florida’s new coaching staff and said it “really changed things for him.”
Although he has only visited one time, the 6-foot-4, 276-pound Norman says the SEC school is already providing him with a home-like feel. Their genuine approach is sure not hurting the program’s chances either.

“I am being heavily recruited by them and it means something,” Norman told GatorsOnline. “In recruiting, you want to find that place you are comfortable and feeling good at, and at Florida, it felt like that. Coach Chaney, coach Spencer, and some others there are just keeping it real with me. They tell me how life is there and I like how they do it.”
The four-star will look to cut down his list even more in the coming months and plans to make a decision before his senior season.
“I’m trying to go into my senior year committed,” Norman told BWI. “I might do my officials during the season though. I’m not sure about that yet.”
A native of Camden, N.J., Norman ranks as the No. 125 overall prospect, No. 18 defensive lineman and the No. 24 junior prospect in Florida in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Norman has an On3 NIL Valuation of $12,400. The NIL Valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
