Texas A&M offers 2027 Louisiana QB Peyton Houston

It appears the Texas A&M recruiting staff took a good look at some young prospects this weekend as they have offered class of 2027 quarterback out Cotton Valley (La.) Calvary Baptist Academy, Peyton Houston.
Although Houston is only in the eight grade, he has been offered by Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Louisiana Tech, Grambling, Purdue, and now the Aggies. He has also visited LSU, USC, and Mississippi State previously.
Houston currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $8.2K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
A look at the class of 2024 for the Aggies
To date, Texas A&M holds four commitments in the class of 2024 in four-star Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove quarterback Anthony Maddox, four-star Longview (Texas) Pine Tree defensive lineman Dealyn Evans, four-star Katy (Texas) Tompkins offensive lineman Ashton Funk, and four-star Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton wide receiver Debron Gatling.

Texas A&M’s class of 2024 currently has a score of 89.68, good for No. 16 nationally, and No. 9 in the SEC. The Aggies were inside No. 15 sometime last month, but even with a commitment in February, have dropped spots due to others around them jumping ahead.
As of right now, there are a total of 13 prospects in the class of 2024 who are favored in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine to land with Texas A&M. A good portion of them were on campus in January and March for junior day visits and are also planning return visits in the spring.
If the Aggies can take advantage of some momentum gained and relationships built in the past month or so, I think there is a good chance Texas A&M is approaching the top-10 national team recruiting rankings and top-5 in the SEC by the summer rolls around.
