Many second-chance quarterbacks never got a first chance

It should be more commonly discussed that a quarterback’s fate largely hangs in the balance of the greater team, including coaching. This is especially true in the NFL, where quarterbacks are typically subjected to the competency of their head coach and GM. Do they have a plan to build around him? What type of team is the highly drafted quarterback entering? They’re drafting early for a reason, right?
