Texas faces gut-check matchup in Hartford against top-five UConn (7PM CST, Fox)

Texas basketball is in a precarious position regarding their pre-conference slate. They have just one signature win so far, which came in Maui over then-23rd-ranked NC State, 102-97, but are 0-3 in their three other games against high-major competition (Duke, Arizona State, and Virginia). Though the SEC has taken a step back as a conference with teams like Kentucky and Florida struggling, there is still plenty of talent running around that will make life difficult for a bubble team that Texas likely is.
