While watching Mike Gundy's game week press conference in 2022, it was clear he understood Texas' big advantage that year was the amount of bodies it could play at defensive tackle. That season, Texas rotated Moro Ojomo / Keondre Coburn, Byron Murphy / T'Vondre Sweat, and Alfred Collins / Vernon Broughton. Gundy mentioned Texas had six future NFL defensive tackles when most schools were fortunate to have four playable bodies.
