Last week, On3’s Matt Zenitz tweeted that Texas’ Tony Shields was expected to be hired as the director of player personnel at Memphis. It was obvious from fan reactions that not many Longhorn faithful were aware of Tony and what his role was at Texas. I worked with him for roughly six months and quickly learned that he had a unique background.
