Elite 2025 OT Lamont Rogers trims recruitment down
Mesquite (Tex.) Horn four-star offensive lineman Lamont Rogers is one of the most coveted tackles in the 2025 cycle. After racking up a heap of offers, the 6-foot-7, 305-pounder has trimmed his recruitment down.
The schools to make the cut are USC, Michigan, Tennessee, Florida, TCU, Mississippi State, Texas, LSU, Florida, Florida State, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech.
Rogers is the No. 40 overall prospect and No. 8 offensive tackle in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 7 player in Texas.
Rogers has not yet gotten the chance to venture out far in his recruitment. His only visits to date are to SMU, TCU, and Oklahoma.
WeAreSC will be on the road soon to see Rogers in action.
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine on Rogers
The 6-foot-7, 305-pounder holds 22 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), the LSU Tigers have the best chance to land Rogers at 94.9%. The large lead comes with a previous prediction for Rogers to land at LSU from On3’s Sam Spiegelman. That prediction was in May.
RPM was released to the public in December 2021. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

More top groups
Some other top ranked players in the class of 2025 named the USC Trojans in a top group recently.
Fort Lauderdale (FL) American Heritage four-star running back Byron Louis releasing a top ten list of Ohio State, Miami, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, USC, Florida State, Oklahoma, Penn State, and Wisconsin.
Louis has visited USC one time to date, coming this past June. He has taken 17 total visits with multiple going to Miami, Georgia, and UCF.
2025 Desoto (Tex.) four-star running back Deondrae “Tiger” Riden also released a top ten of USC, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, SMU, Texas Tech, Baylor and Ole Miss.
I think it is fair to say that USC is the leader in the clubhouse right now in Riden’s recruitment. His relationship with Kiel McDonald is possibly his best relationship in his recruiting process and there have been multiple visits made to USC already.
