USC beat Arizona 65-62 in a game they controlled for parts but also saw 21 turnovers keep the Wildcats squarely in the game until the end. Trojans’ star freshman JuJu Watkins provided the dagger bucket on a driving layup with just 21 seconds left. Watkins led USC in scoring with 17 points. Forward Rayah Marshall played a huge role in the win with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
UCLA took down Utah 67-57 in the fourth quarterfinal game late Thursday night. The Bruins were led by a trio of high-scorers. Angela Dugalić scored a game-high 17 points. Charisma Osborne had 16 and Kiki Rice scored 13 and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
