On this week’s episode of Inside the Trojans’ Huddle, panelists Marc Kulkin, Chris Arledge, Kevin Bruce, and Greg Katz discuss USC’s best defensive players of the modern era.

USC’s stable of former players rivals any program in the nation. But who are the greatest at each defensive position?

Debate rages when it comes to USC’s best defensive lineman.

At inside linebacker, is there a definitive answer between Chris Claiborne, Richard Wood or other options? Is there a better USC outside linebacker than Junior Seau?

The choice at safety is a forced one between multiple members of the College and NFL Halls of Fame.

And perhaps something of a surprise name comes up in the discussion of USC’s greatest cornerback.

Who are your picks for USC’s best defensive players? Let us know on the WeAreSC message board.

The panel also takes on viewer questions.

Including:

“What are the signs one would look for that there is a culture change in the program?”

“In addition to utilizing the transfer portal do you know if Riley and his coaching staff are recruiting any elite JUCO offensive/defensive linemen and LBs?”

“I know we haven’t had even one practice yet, but your picks for the starting Nickel back? Will Raleek practice with the receivers or RBs? Which position’s meeting room will he be in?”

“What happens to the players who entered the Transfer Portal but didn’t find new homes? Are they allowed to participate in Spring Ball to maybe earn a spot back on the team?”

“My question is could the 2023 and 2024 class do for USC what the 2008 and 2009 class did for Alabama, (dynasty builder) or something to that extent?”
